The value of childcare for parents who want to enroll in post
secondary education was the impetus behind the creation of Park
Hills Child Development Center. Gaining additional credentials
beyond a high school diploma help parents better meet their
responsibilities as primary caregivers of their children. Continued
educational growth is an important tool and commodity in today's
world. In order to accomplish this significant educational goal,
parents need to have child care available for their children while
they are attending classes. And while parents are busy improving
their knowledge and skills, their children are busy learning new
things, too. First priority for enrollment is given to students
attending Gateway Community and Technical College. Once the
childcare needs of students are met, the community is invited to
enroll their children at the Park Hills Center.
In partnership with
Gateway Community and Technical College, Children, Inc. provides
early childhood education and care to students and staff at Gateway
and the community. The center opened in August
2000 on the Park Hills campus at 1030 Old State Rd.
Park Hills is
located on the campus of Gateway Community and Technical College
Annex and within walking distance of Gateway's main Covington campus
and Dixie Highway. |
