Tuition Assistance
Children, Inc. realizes the importance of high quality early childhood education and care for all children. Cognizant of the financial strain tuition may place on a family's budget, fees for all programs are based on a sliding scale, determined by income and family size. There are several tuition assistance programs available.

These include:

  • State Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
  • United Way and Community Chest Tuition Assistance

Following are the current income guidelines for tuition assistance for Children, Inc. Early Education and Care centers, and are subject to change.  See below for contact information for assistance in applying for tuition assistance.  Information updated 10/06.

Please Note: School Age Services have a different set of guidelines and these guidelines do not apply to School Age programs.

State Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
is available for child care, and determinations are made by State Intake Workers. For example, income and family size are some of the factors that help determine if a family is eligible for assistance.
If qualifications are met, the worker helps a family complete a few simple forms to secure tuition assistance.
  • Step One: Call the Children, Inc. program to find out about space availability and to work with the director about your specific child care needs.
  • Step Two: Call the Northern Kentucky Area Development District (ADD) Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) office at 859-283-8189.   They will then refer you to a State Intake Worker to begin the process of applying for state funded tuition assistance.

United Way
child care tuition assistance is available for families who qualify based on income, family size, and other factors. Individuals must be working or in school. A family may qualify for State Assistance and for United Way assistance, with both funding sources applying funds to reduce the family's portion of the cost. Families who do not qualify for State funding may qualify for United Way funding.
  • Step One: Call the Children, Inc. program to find out about space availability and to work with the director about your specific child care needs.
  • Step Two: If enrolling at the Cathedral School of Montessori and Early Education or Montessori and Early Learning Academy, call the United Way tuition assistance office to begin the process of applying for United Way funded tuition assistance. For other centers, the director can help you determine assistance eligibility at the program level.
