It is a commonly recognized and agreed upon fact that music is an extremely powerful teaching tool for all ages. Through a partnership with Kisor Music and The Devereux Early Childhood Initiative, Children, Inc. began writing music about Social Emotional Development. David Kisor is a talented artist that serves as Children, Inc.’s Music Director and writes children’s songs that are based in recent research. These songs are fun for children and not annoying to parents while still teaching the all important messages of confidence, self control and initiative. In order to develop and distribute these and other social emotional products, Children, Inc. internally organized the entity Growing Sound.
Growing Sound is an on-going celebration of positive growth through songs, books and videos. Children have fun singing while parents help their children develop skills and get ready for school. Growing Sound enhances every child's natural growth and development and is also a useful for children who have developmental and behavioral concerns. The materials stimulate growth in all areas of the child's life; including social-emotional skills, learning skills, literacy, and concepts in math to name a few.
Growing Sound songs, books and videos are available in traditional formats as well as electronic downloads, making them easy to use at home, in the car and at school.
