Enrolling ages infant through three years.
Since February of 1997 we have had 96 students graduate from this program.
Including 9 fathers and
8 moms that went on to work for Children Inc. In August of 2003 we were relocated to a traditional high school and this has allowed our students to pursue a pre college curriculum. More than half of our teen parents go on to college and graduate with degrees.
If you are a pregnant or parenting teen within the Kenton County School system and want to continue your school studies, Kenton Child Development Center offers you the support you need to graduate with a full high school diploma. Education is even more important now that you have the added responsibility of creating a future for you and your child. While you complete your high school education in Kenton County Schools, your child will be cared for and nurtured on-site at Simon Kenton High School. As a teen parent, you are free to concentrate on your work and feel good knowing your child is there with you and busy learning new things, too.
Kenton's curriculum offers age appropriate learning for your child. The environment is warm, yet stimulating, and there is an abundance of materials and supplies. There is a specially designed playground for outdoor fun and exercise. As part of your school studies, time is set aside each day for you to be in the Center with your child, the other children, and the staff. You have opportunities to meet and make new friends with other teen parents as you build your future through your education. This center has a NAC accreditation and is one of only twelve centers in the state of Kentucky that has achieved 4 STARs from the Kentucky STARs Now Program.
Kenton Child Development Center started in 1997 in cooperation with the Kenton County Board of Education and its schedule follows Kenton County Schools. Call today to schedule a visit.
