Serving Children and Families in Northern, KY
Children, Inc is a high impact organization that constantly works to successfully develop children for school and for life. We constantly ask ourselves “what else can we do to support children and families in Northern Kentucky?” Answering this question we have developed programs that instruct and resource first time parents, train early education professionals, teach the importance of service to students, and develop and distribute developmental tools for teachers.

Service Learning
Our Service Learning coordinators have trained over one thousand teachers in two thirds of Northern Kentucky schools to instruct tens of thousands of children how to use service and civic engagement in their daily lives. Children, Inc.’s Service Learning initiative was developed to teach elementary and high school students the importance of service and civic duty in their daily lives. Service and philanthropy is not merely an activity for adults or the wealthy but an activity that everyone should participate in.

Young Families Program
Children, Inc.’s Young Families Program serves hundreds of first time, high risk moms with children from prenatal stages all the way to three and a half years of age. This is the largest Every Child Succeeds Home Visitation program in the region. We are proud to say that the participants in this program consistently achieve the highest outcomes through evaluation. Children, Inc. also employs bi-lingual home visitors who serve nearly fifty Hispanic mothers in the region. Click for more information on Children, Inc.’s Young Families Program.
Training Programs
Training is a cornerstone of Children, Inc.’s mission and a vital part of our responsibility to children. We provide six certificate and training programs. Through continued education our educators can provide the best instruction to children enrolled in our programs. Children, Inc. is the only Montessori Teacher Training program within 100 miles that offers a national teacher certificate in Montessori that trains both infant/toddler Montessori teachers and preschool Montessori teachers. Children, Inc. is Northern Kentucky’s leader in training early childhood professionals in aligning their curriculum with Kentucky’s Early Learning Standards and helping programs do good child assessments. Growing Sound - Children's Music
Growing Sound is the brand for products developed by David Kisor, Children, Inc. Music Director. Growing Sound takes key insights from child development and neuroscience research and conveys them to teachers and parents in fun ways to provide new tools for building social, emotional, language and cognitive skills in young children. Children, Inc. has developed an e-commerce website so parents and educators can purchase these items through download or the mail.
