Opportunity and a chance
for a better future are what parents aspire to for themselves and their
children. Families want to be self-sufficient and positively influence
the direction of their lives. Removing barriers increase chances for
success. Gardens at Greenup Child Development Center offers the kind of
assistance parents need to allow them to pursue education and employment
goals to improve their lives.
Gardens at Greenup Child
Development Center opened in October 2000. Children, Inc. in
partnership with Welcome House, created this on-site child care and
early childhood education program to support the residents living at the
Gardens at Greenup housing units. While residents participate in a
comprehensive program of self-sufficiency and independence through
educational or vocational training, the Gardens at Greenup Child
Development Center cares for their children in a warm, supportive
environment. Enrollment is open to the community, once the needs are met
for the residents living at the Gardens at Greenup. Gardens
is located on the corner of 11th and Greenup Streets at
133 E. 11th Street in Covington, directly across from the twenty
apartment units that comprise the Gardens at Greenup residential
program. |
