Young Families Program offers family support designed to ensure an optimal start for children.  The voluntary program in Kenton County offers first-time parents home visits and fun group gatherings, as well as resources to allow baby and mom the best start possible.

Young Families Program provides:

  • Regular home visits from a professional family support worker until the child is two and a half years old!
  • Parenting support and the latest parenting tips.
  • Connection with available community resources.
  • Stimulating activities for baby.
  • Monthly parent-aid bags with educational and useful items, including an age-appropriate book for baby.
  • A chance to connect with other first time parents and share the joys and challenges of parenting.
  • Tracking and support of baby’s development.
  • Help in finding quality child care.

This program is offered at no cost to parents. Young Families is supported through a variety of public and private sources including Every Child Succeeds, the HANDS Project of Kentucky and the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
