Donation Needs:

•    Children’s books (infant to 5 years)
•    Cribs & Bassinets  (must meet current state and pediatric safety standards)
•    Formula, baby cereal and baby food  (unopened)
•    Crib Sheets & Blankets
•    Toys (appropriate for ages 0-3)
•    Clothing & Shoes (sizes 0-3T)
•    Coats (sizes 0-3T)
•    Breast Pumps
•    Car seats (new only)
•    Bottles
•    Safety Items (safety plugs, latches)
•    Infant Care items

•    Art Supplies: Coloring Books, Crayons
•    Crayola Play dough
•    Board games for kindergarten to 5th grade (after school programs)
•    Outdoor playground and gym equipment (ages 2 years to 5th grade)
•    White T-Shirts: 6 mos. – 3T and adult sizes Sm-Lg
•    Ramen Noodles (for sensory art projects)
•    Bottled Water (small for kids)
•    Common household items such as tongs, tweezers, small pitchers, cookie cutters, ladles, ice trays, small dishes etc. (for practical life)
•    Teacher supplies such as notebooks, binders, pens, Scotch tape

Volunteer Needs:
Direct Care Centers:
“Handyman” – 2-4 hours/month (or as needed)
Photographers to keep center photos updated

Service Learning Business Partners:
•    Community Partners to share needs and be guest speakers
•    Volunteer Photographers
•    Judges for events, e.g. Shark Tank social entrepreneurial project
•    Library Readers
•    Junior Achievement volunteer teachers to sponsor a social entrepreneurial Service Learning Project
•    Volunteer PR person to write and publish stories in newspaper, corporate newsletters, media
•    Advocate and raise awareness of Service Learning across the region
•    Refer new schools to Service Learning Department
•    Prize donations (plaques, gift cards)
•    Expertise  for service learning projects
•    New/gently used children’s literature collections at their business
•    Transportation support for Service Learning Projects (sponsor the bus cost)
•    Matched Donations
•    Sponsor a staff professional training opportunity
•    Donate Energy Efficiency kits for non-Duke customers
•    Guest Health, e.g. trainer, massage for staff (limited sessions at each CI site)
